W9 reflection 2016

Numeracy

For numeracy this week I've been doing a top pooch sheet where we have to add money up to make the right amount of money for the pet you choose.My group chose a fish we have almost got everything we need for our fish.We think it's cool and fun.  here's our google drawing. We will be including more throughout the week.

Literacy

For literacy this week I've been working on my speech plan. We had to make a bubble.us to plan for a speech.

Prep

At our school we do prep where we make things out of paper cardboard and other materials.My class split into groups and made different things my group made slingshots there are two market one mini market and big market.Yesterday we had our big market and here's a photo of me and two of the things I bought.

Numeracy

For numeracy this week I've been learning to use five times facts to work out four,six,and seven times facts.I found this easy because I'm good at 5 times tables.

Word Work

These are  my silly sentences I found this easy because they weren't hard to think of. Next week I think I can do longer sentences.

Reading

For reading this week I've been trying to work out answers to the questions. I found this hard because the sentences didn't make sense. 

Writing

For writing this week I've been learning to use high level punctuation the  highlighted words are my punctuation.I found this easy because I had already thought of it.

Shantytown

This week at our school two people from shanty town came to visit us we learned about New Zealand's history and did a we show about it.

For numeracy this week I've been working on turning subtraction into addition to work out the answer. 

Reading

This week for reading I had to do 5w's from an article from kiwi kids news. The 5w's are were did the event take place? When did it happen? Who did it effect? 

Boyz rule secret agent heroes 30bc

This week for 30bc I read this book it's called Boyz rule secret agent heroes.

Genre-It is an adventurous book
Summary-It's about two boys who pretend to be secret agents.
Review-I think it is a cool book and series. I would recommend this to my friend Ry because he is adventurous.

This week we have been doing a newspaper report.

Numeracy

In numeracy we'v been recording our self's with screencastify. We have been learning to jump 10's 20's and 30's to get from 27 to 51.



 

Writing

This week for writing  we'v been writing a news report on Charlotte's web writing.  We were learning what a good news paper report is.

in Mr Zuckerman's barn a pig named Wilbur appears to be friend’s with a spider.It was a bright and early morning when Lurvy was coming to feed Wilbur but something caught his eye  it was a web with a message in it he was amazed he ran back to the house and back came Lurvy and Mr Zukerman he saw the web “some pig?” said MrZukerman. Mr Zukerman thinks a spider want’s the pig to live a long life.
