For numeracy this week I've been doing Christmas codes. I found this hard because there was so many words to choose from, and I could not guess what to write.

Literacy

For Literacy this week I've been doing some spelling riddles. This is what I've done this week. 

For this activity I had to get my spelling words and put them into riddles. I found this hard because I'm not good at making riddles.

Numeracy

For numeracy this week I've completed some more slides on problem solving. I've solved one on reversing numbers and one on choc attack.

I found this hard because it took awhile to figure them out.

Literacy

For Literacy this week we have been doing more myths and legends. I had to make a drawing on what my favourite mythical creature is and what I know about it already. I also had to rewrite a story. 

For this activity I had to write about if I could choose to be a mythical creature and why.
This is where I had to rewrite the story. I didn't write exactly what the story said but it describes it the same way. I found this easy because I listened to the story properly.

30 BC

For my 30 BC book  this week I've been reading Pokemon team rocket blasts of again. (I also have a Pokemon bookmark with Bulbasaur on it.)  

I enjoyed reading this book because Pokemon is one of my favourite series I would recommend someone else to read it to.

For numeracy this week I've been doing some more of my problem solving from Term 1. Here are two slides that show a question that is sometimes really difficult to answer.

I found the two's one easy because it was one of the first slides and the second one was harder because I didn't understand the question at first.

Literacy

For literacy this week we've been doing myths and legends I've done a compare and contrast and a mythical creature (Mine was a dragon) here's my work.

I made mine with an app called sumo paint. I found this fun because it is my first time doing something like this and I loved making the dragon. I found the compare and contrast hard because I don't actually know what a myth is and I underlined Maui and the sun because I'm not sure it is the same.

Word work

For word work this week I've been doing some spelling and activities that include my spelling words. Here's my work.  

I found these easy because I was having fun and I knew what I was doing.

Reading

For reading this week I've been doing a literacy elements on a book I like and have read recently here it is. 

I found this hard because I didn't know what it meant when I saw it had three story event boxes.

T3 W4 reflection

Book week

This week we had a book week. I had lots of fun this week.  Book week is something we have every year.  We have Wacky Thursday (which is supposed to be Wednesday) and book character day.

This week on Thursday we had a wacky day and I was wearing my pyjamas on backwards. It was a fun day. I saw lots of wacky costumes some were the same. Here's a picture of my teachers.

Today we are having a book character day I'm dressed as a spy.  The book I am from is by Trey King and is called Spy 101 Intro to Espionage. The teachers came dressed as  characters from Harry Potter. In book character day each class comes up on stage one at a time and says what character they are dressed as. When it was my turn I was a bit nervous but I made through to the next class.

Numeracy

For numeracy this week I've been doing a top pooch sheet where we have to add money up to make the right amount of money for the pet you choose.My group chose a fish we have almost got everything we need for our fish.We think it's cool and fun.  here's our google drawing. We will be including more throughout the week.

Literacy

For literacy this week I've been working on my speech plan. We had to make a bubble.us to plan for a speech.

Prep

At our school we do prep where we make things out of paper cardboard and other materials.My class split into groups and made different things my group made slingshots there are two market one mini market and big market.Yesterday we had our big market and here's a photo of me and two of the things I bought.

For numeracy this week I've been learning to use five times facts to work out four,six,and seven times facts.I found this easy because I'm good at 5 times tables.

Word Work

These are  my silly sentences I found this easy because they weren't hard to think of. Next week I think I can do longer sentences.

Reading

For reading this week I've been trying to work out answers to the questions. I found this hard because the sentences didn't make sense. 

Writing

For writing this week I've been learning to use high level punctuation the  highlighted words are my punctuation.I found this easy because I had already thought of it.

Shantytown

This week at our school two people from shanty town came to visit us we learned about New Zealand's history and did a we show about it.

For numeracy this week I've been working on turning subtraction into addition to work out the answer.

This week for reading I had to do 5w's from an article from kiwi kids news. The 5w's are were did the event take place? When did it happen? Who did it effect? 

Boyz rule secret agent heroes 30bc

This week for 30bc I read this book it's called Boyz rule secret agent heroes.

Genre-It is an adventurous book
Summary-It's about two boys who pretend to be secret agents.
Review-I think it is a cool book and series. I would recommend this to my friend Ry because he is adventurous.

In numeracy we'v been recording our self's with screencastify. We have been learning to jump 10's 20's and 30's to get from 27 to 51.



 

Writing

This week for writing  we'v been writing a news report on Charlotte's web writing.  We were learning what a good news paper report is.

in Mr Zuckerman's barn a pig named Wilbur appears to be friend’s with a spider.It was a bright and early morning when Lurvy was coming to feed Wilbur but something caught his eye  it was a web with a message in it he was amazed he ran back to the house and back came Lurvy and Mr Zukerman he saw the web “some pig?” said MrZukerman. Mr Zukerman thinks a spider want’s the pig to live a long life.
